Engineer. The elder child of Lewis Terman, he was the person who mentored and helped Dave Packard and William Hewlett and caused the two to found Hewlett-Packard. Later, he started Silicon Valley and also the semiconductor age with the inventor of the transistor, William Shockley. (bio by: Bona Rae Villarta)
