POQUOSON - Dolores D. Hautz, 80, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011. She was a native of Seaford and a Poquoson resident for the past 30 years.

Dolores was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, James L. Hautz Sr.; her father and mother, Leonard E., and Virginia P. Davis; and a grandson, Jesse L. Atkins.

She is survived by a son, James L. Hautz Jr. and wife, Donna; three daughters, Nancy Atkins, Peggy Scott and husband, Johnny, and Myra Freeman and husband, Darrell; 13 grandchildren and "many" great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a lifelong best friend, Gloria Shields.

Dolores was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She showered her family with the fruits of her many talents including crocheting, quilting, sewing and fudge making, to name just a few. She will be sadly missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, and other times at 14 Terrace Drive, Poquoson. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Paul Sparrer. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
