POQUOSON - Sadie Holloway Tyers, 90, a native of Messick and resident of Buffalo, N.Y., for 40 years and later returning to her hometown of Poquoson, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Dominion Village of Poquoson.
Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Charles "Chuck" Tyers; son, Boyd Hosey; six brothers, Ellison, Holston, Earl, Edgar, Marshall and Russell Holloway.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Hosey Sr. and wife, Linda of Hopewell; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including Mary Jane and Jay Strickland of Poquoson.
