POQUOSON - Miriam Pricilla Holloway Jobe, 69, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away peacefully with family by her side at home on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

She was born and raised in Messick; and a graduate of Poquoson High School and Hampton Roads Business College. She was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Miriam's smile will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing of meeting her. She was a loving and caring wife, sister, aunt and friend.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Holston Holloway; a sister, Doris Holloway Brown; and a nephew, Bobby Ray Lupo.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, John C. Jobe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Tom Trantham, Elaine and Ray Keenan, and Richard Brown; nieces, Kandie Morehouse, Karen Gandy, Doris Ann Heliin, Joanne MacDowell, Nicole Welch, Kayla Trantham, Tammy Majernik, Maggie Majernik; nephews, Tommy Trantham, Richard Brown Jr., Jerome Brown, Benjamin Brown, Nicholas Morehouse, Matthew Lupo and Mitchell Majernik.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, and other times at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home by the Rev. Rita A. Callis and the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1294 Poquoson Avenue, or Weston Cemetery, c/o Bill Weston, 1436 Poquoson Avenue, both Poquoson, VA 23662.
