Violet L. Gulikson, age 82, of 1805 Clark Drive, New Holstein, died Thursday morning, April 19, 2012 at Willowdale Nursing & Rehab Center, New Holstein.

She was the former Violet Rodney, born February 24, 1930 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Elmer & Mayme Rodney.

Violet was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc.

On April 2, 1954, Violet was united in marriage to Harold Gulikson.

Violet was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Liberty.

She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and cooking.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Harold of New Holstein, one son, Bill Gulikson, New Holstein, her sister-in-law, Agnes Lawrence, Town of Liberty, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Jr. & Lee Gulikson; one sister, Janet and one brother, Donny.

Funeral services for Violet will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 23, 2012 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel with Pastor Gregory Pope officiating.

Burial will take place in Gjerpen Cemetery, Town of Cato.
