A native of Henry Co., she was a peninsula resident for more than 50 years. Mrs. Manning retired from Newport News Shipbuilding, Reproduction. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and its Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Manning; brothers, William Z. Johnston, Herman Johnston, Brice Johnston; and sisters, Lou Billings and Ruth Law.
Survivors include stepchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. George Law.
Friends are welcome to pay their respects at Peninsula Funeral Home beginning Sunday morning.
