Polly was born in 1758 and was a private in the Revolution under Captains Burton and Webb, Colonels Gibson and Stephen of the Virginia Line. Edw. Polly migrated from NC to Kentucky and settled at or near Mayking on the Kentucky River in what is now Letcher Co, where he died about 1845.
