Carl J. "June" Lancaster, 87, of Porters Falls, WV died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Wetzel County Hospital.
Carl was born March 15, 1923 in Middlebourne, WV the son of the late Walter and Dewie McCormick Lancaster.
He was retired employee of Ormet, Honorary Member of the Pine Grove FFA, enjoyed helping the FFA program at Valley High School, loved stock car racing and was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda V. Lancaster (2000); son, Terry Lee Lancaster; four brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Lancaster and Gary Lancaster; three daughters, Joyce (Gary) Cain, Jean (John) Lively and Debbie Thomas all of Porters Falls, WV; two sisters, Grace Lancaster of Wellsburg, WV and Naomi VanDine of Weirton, WV; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received 2-4 and 7-9 Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville where funeral services were held 11 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2010 with Don Kline officiating. Full graveside military rites were conducted by the Honor Guard of Sistersville, Paden City, and New Martinsville.
