Son of John Jacob Mickley and Elizabeth B. (Burkhalter) Mickley. Husband of Eva Keck. They had 10 children.
When he was 11 years old he and 2 younger siblings, John Henry Mickley and Barbara Mickley, were attacked by Indians on Laurel Hill in the Spring Mill area of Lehigh County. He escaped but his younger brother and sister were both killed. He later served in the military during the Indian Wars and the Revolutionary War participating in the Battle of Germantown on 10/4/1777. Tohickon Church records indicate that Peter was buried in Tohickon Cemetery but no tombstone has been found.
