Age 86, our loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa passed away April 29, 2012 at his home. Born December 23, 1925 in Albion, MI. Claude served with the U.S. Navy in both WW II and Korea.
He retired in 1988 from the Board of Water & Light after 32 ½ years of service. He was a business manager and past-president of the I.B.E.W. Local #352. He was a member of Morley Oates V.F.W. Post #701. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and planting trees of his 50 acres home.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Joan M. Oberlin; 5 children, Elizabeth "Beth" (Ed) Morton, Claude Jr. "Butch" (Lynnette) Oberlin, Pastor Norman (Pastor Barbara) Oberlin, Timothy (Carey) Oberlin, and Paul (Jeanne) Oberlin; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan; mother, Louise; and sister, Dolores Williams.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday with Services 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 4th, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastors Norman & Barbara Oberlin officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors by V.F.W. Post #701. Contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer Association. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
