Lucille F. Brock, age 96, of Spring Lake passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon. She was born September 8, 1910, in Carlinville, Illinois, to Orville and Mamie (Rice) Whitworth, and she married William Albert Brock on June 20, 1930. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Lucille moved to the Tri-Cities area from Clearwater, Florida, in 1984, and she spent many years lovingly caring for her family. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Survivors include five daughters: Lois Brock of Grand Rapids, Marilyn (Karl) Bruder of Belding, MI, Carol Sonneveldt of Spring Lake, Joyce Heinrich of Bloomington, MN, and Adele Brock of Wooddale, IL; two sons: William Brock of Largo, FL, and Stephen Brock of Franklin, NC; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Whitworth of Florida.
A service to honor Lucille's life will be held in Clearwater, Florida, at a later date. Interment will be in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.
