Robert "Bobby" Garrett (1945-2012)


Robert "Bobby" Garrett, 66, of Howe went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on May 5, 2012. Bobby was born August 19, 1945, in Breckenridge to Woodrow Wilson and Novaline Eleanor (Thompson) Garrett. He married Margaret Ann Moorehead on August 20, 1994, in Ft. Worth. Bobby worked in industrial construction and was a member of the Local Pipe Fitters/Welders Union of Sacramento, Calif. Bobby proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961-1963. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Breckenridge.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Garrett of Howe; daughters, Charliene Bondurant of Austin, and Melinda Blansett of Aledo; stepsons, Steven Sellers of Howe, and Michael Sellers of Red Oak; grandchildren, Joshua Farmer, Nathan Bondurant, Benjamin Bondurant, Austin Blansett, and Carley Blansett; brother, Tim Garrett of Clyde; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mac Carney, and sister, Gloria Pittman.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen with Rev. Weldon Hutson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 -8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
