Vardary M. Gardner, 74 years old, died at his home, 1610 Eighth Avenue North, Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Will Nall of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Effie Henderson of Columbia, Mrs. Elmore Yates, Mrs. Willie McAlister, Mrs. Wallace Green, Miss Pearl and Walter Gardner of this city.
The funeral will be held from the residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. C. D. Creasman. The following friends will serve as pallbearers: Lytle Duncan. J. W. Cooper, J. C. Bennett, J. T. Sutherland, George Crockren and Burnis Ridge. Interment will be at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
