Calvary. She was born on Nov. 16, 1918 in Cleveland, WI, daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Bogenschutz. She married Elmer Kolbe on Sept. 10, 1940 at St. Wendell Catholic Church in Cleveland. She farmed with her husband in the town of Charlestown all of her life. Helen was a genius when it came to homemaking skills like sewing, canning, and cooking those great meals for all the farm crews. She was well known for the many clothes and quilts that she made for the missions throughout the world, but her specialty was baking those special cookies for her grandchildren. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, the Christian Mothers, the Mission Society, the Chilton Eagles #1288, the Daughters of Isabelle, the Catholic Knights, the Calumet Medical Center Auxiliary, and the Merry Jane Homemakers. Survivors include her husband Elmer of Mount Calvary, 2 daughters, Mary Rowlette of Middleton, Roseanne (Edward) Schneiderwent of Sheboygan; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Ann Gries & Agnes Wolf; and 2 brothers, Clarence & Richard Bogenschutz. Funeral service Oct. 11, 2006 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with the Rev. Andre Weller officiating. Entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. (Source: Wieting Family Funeral Home Inc)
