Dancer. She helped popularize "The Shimmy" during the World War I era. Born in Bangor, Maine, where her actor parents were appearing in stock theater, she made her stage debut as a child. She later toured vaudeville and had notable roles in the Broadway hits "Very Good Eddie" (1915), "Leave It to Jane" (1917), and "The Night Boat" (1920). Her career was cut short by tuberculosis, the cause of her death at 25.
