Nora Bates was the daughter of the late john and Mary (Martin) Jennings.
She was survived by three sons: George Bates of Salem, Raymond Bates of Marblehead and Francis Bates of Peabody; three daughters, Mary Sawtelle of Fla., Katherine Ginty of Salem and Carolyn Stanton of Marblehead; two brothers, John Jennings of Salem and Michael Jennings of County Mayo;
a sister Mary Jennings of Ireland; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;several nieces & nephews.
She also had a son Thomas and a daughter Margaret who died as children.
Her Funeral Mass was in St. James Church, Salem. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem.
