Actress. An African-American character actresss, she worked with many of the well-known motion picture stars. She often played maids, always with dignity and grace. Her best performance was in "Professional Sweetheart," (1933) starring Ginger Rogers. Also notable as the sarcastic waitress 'Minnie' in "Cat People" (1943).
