Graveside service for Bill Dyk, 85, will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, May 23, in Meadow View Cemetery. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Grace Bible Church in Bozeman.

William Dyk, Jr, 85, of Churchill and Manhattan, Montana, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 18, 2012 at home attended by his family.

He was born April 12, 1927 in the Churchill area at the family home, the son of the late William and Jenny Bos Dyk. He was the 10th of 13 children. On March 11, 1949, he married his bride Marilyn Hanno.

Bill attended grades one through eight at Heeb School in rural Manhattan. He then attended Manhattan High School, graduating in 1945. He worked for his father on the family farm for three years, and then married Marilyn. After living on the home place for five years, they moved to their current farm on Churchill Road.

Church was a very important part of his entire life. He faithfully attended church several times a week, and devotedly read his Bible. He was an ardent supporter of missions and mission work. Two of his siblings, Herman and Fylena, were involved in lifetime mission work. He made it a point to take his family to the church services also. One of Bill's favorite things to do at church was to sit in the lobby area after church and have church members come by to say hello and talk to him. People enjoyed the bits of wisdom he mixed with his dry humor.

Bill operated a dairy for 42 years, and raised many different crops. Hunting and fishing were two things he enjoyed. The theme of his life was to always work hard, treat others fairly, and to live a life worthy of His Lord Jesus Christ. He will be sorely missed by his family and church family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Dyk, Sr., and Jenny Bos Dyk. Also preceding him were 11 siblings: Fylena and her husband Jack Blalock; Jennie Dyk; John W. Dyk and his wife Adelaide; Anna and her husband Ben Docken; Egbert and his wife Isabelle; Herman and his wife Lois; Dora and her husband Emil Ehresman; Clarence Yadon, brother-in-law; Arthur Dyk; JoAnn Dyk; Marie Blalock and her husband Jack Blalock, Arnold Dyk and daughter-in-law, Patricia Dyk,
