Florence E. VanBuskirk, 88, Elwood, passed away May 29, 2012 at Community Parkview Care Center following an extended illness.
Florence was born Dec. 10, 1923 in Wabash, to Thomas and Sarah Bone.
She retired from Ex-Cello Corporation in 1986.
She loved all children and loved raising kids. She also enjoyed gambling and going to the casino.
Florence is survived by three brothers, Charles (Jan) Bone, Herald Bone and Gene Bone; six grandchildren, Stacy (Stickler) Troutman and fiance, Chuck Robertson, Trish (Bickel) Williams and companion, Rob Minniear, Rusty Groover, Phil Groover Jr., Trina Groover and Karri Bennett; six great-grandchildren, Ashley (Danny) Miller, Dustin Reeves and fiancee, Monique Schmidt, Travis Troutman, Erica Troutman, Kyle Williams, and Kylee Williams; and five great-great-grandchildren, Zoey Addision, Ashlynn Lloyd, Diana Miller, Deaana Miller and Osiris Lacy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Bone; mother, Sarah Bone; several brothers and sisters; daughters, Barbara Stickler and Charlotte Groover and lifelong companion, George Speece.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with Stan Alvey officiating. Burial will follow at the Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
