Glen Leon Blackley passed away on May 29, 2012 after a short illness at the age of 83. He was born in Salt Lake City the son of Glen and Blanche Blackley.

He is survived by his wife, Evalo Blackley; his brothers, Kent and Demoyne Blackley; his sons, Glen and Todd Blackley; and son-in law, Jeff Adams. Glen's daughter, Karen, predeceased him in 1992. He has six grandchildren: Haydn Adams, Kayln Adams, Shay Blackley, Madison Blackley, Brian Donovan, and Erika Franklin.

After serving in the Korean War in the National Guard, he married Ev, graduated from BYU and moved to California. In 1961, he moved to Cardiff and purchased an insurance brokerage which he ran as Tiger Financial for 38 years.

He was past president of the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and active in the American Legion and Kiwanis clubs. He loved to spend time in Borrego Springs and in Rosarito Beach. Traveling was a passion of his. He and Ev visited 49 countries. He loved other cultures and would always ask people he met where they were from.
