On February 23, 1916, Frances Vivian Kirkpatrick was the second daughter born to Fred and Ferol Mae (Hirons) Kirkpatrick in Early, Iowa. Both Vivian and her elder sister Alice "Irene" Kirkpatrick (Schultz) attended school in Early.

On May 11, 1937, Vivian and Dr. George "Doc" A. Wiedemeier were united in marriage in Sac City, Iowa. The couple made their first home in Newell, Iowa, later moving to Marcus and living in various residences on Ash Street until settling in their present home in 1956. George passed away on March 6, 1969.

Vivian and Lynus R. "Mort" Morten were married on December 28, 1976. They lived together at their residence on Ash Street in Marcus until Mort's passing on June 5, 1984.

Vivian was a vibrant and energetic community member who was active with the Holy Name Catholic Church, and she participated in several societies and clubs. The list is great, and she often mentioned her experiences as part of the Marcus Rosary Society, the Hobby Club, and the Marcus Women's Club for over 50 years, and she was a lifetime member of the Marcus Golf Club that was created by the insistent Dr. George Wiedemeier. In addition, Vivian also enjoyed the arts, including dancing with her friends and extended family members at ballrooms throughout the area.

She spent the last year and one month in the Heartland Care Center in Marcus while recuperating from a fall. She enjoyed her time there with the array of social events and visiting with friends and staff. She took great pleasure with the visiting dogs and kittens, and watching the birds from the community room.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Karen Kay Nacke of Austin, TX, and Georgia Ann Waller and her husband Jack Winston Lyon II of Alpine, TX; four grandchildren, Scott Nacke, David Nacke, Shelly (Nacke) Dobson and her husband Simon Dobson, and Rachael Waller-Rondeaux and her husband Rodney D. Rondeaux; and great granddaughter, Cheyenne Skye Rondeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; her sister, Irene; and an infant grandson, Michael.
