MRS. ANTOINETTE LYLE PRATT.
Mrs. Antoinette Lyle Pratt, widow of Julius Hiram Pratt, and a member of an old Virginia family that traced its ancestry back to the family of the Indian Chief Powhatan, died on Tuesday, from heart trouble, at her residence, 353 Adelphi street, where her funeral services tomorrow evening will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Charles Carroll Albertson, pastor of the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, Lafayette avenue and South Oxford street, of which Mrs. Pratt was a member. The interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Pratt had been a resident of Brooklyn for thirty-three years, and was devoted to the work of the Brooklyn Nursery and Infants Hospital at 396 Herkimer street, being a member of its board of managers and connected with several of its working committees. Born in Richmond, Va., Mrs. Pratt was a loyal daughter of the Old Dominion and upheld the traditions of Southern hospitality. Her husband, who was an engineer, was killed in an accident while he was conducting operations in Africa in 1898 for a manufacturing company at Bulawayo, Rhodesia. He was in Africa in search of a fortune for several years and took part in the suppression of the uprising in Matabeleland. Mrs. Pratt is survived by a son, Elon Graham Pratt, connected with the J. Walter Thompson Advertising Company, advertising agents in Manhattan; three brothers, Powhatan R. Robinson of New York, Edward Trent Robinson and Graham Robinson of Lexington, Va., and a sister, Mrs. Nannie Graham White , of Washington, D. C.
