Evelyn G. Batchelder, age 93, of 2411 34th St., Two Rivers, died on Wednesday evening, Dec. 12, 2007, at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1914, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude Becker. Evelyn was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1931. On June 15, 1935, she married Louis L. Batchelder at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1998. Evelyn was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company, as a shipping clerk for many years. She was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, and a charter
member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Roger and Judith Batchelder, Two Rivers; and Lee and Jan Batchelder, Pahrump, Nev.; five grandchildren: Linda (John) Streu, Two Rivers; Paula (Pat) Schuette, Manitowoc; Lori (Phil) Hardy, Illinois; Amy (Jason) Olivieri, Florida; and Hans Batchelder, Illinois; and seven great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Evelyn was also preceded in death by two brothers: Everett and Milton; and two sisters: Carmen and Alice.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kay Richter, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 a.m., until the time of service at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers.
