Roy as my grandfather. His first wife was Rosalind Marie Lee and they had 3 children; Michael Daniel Nollsch, who Roy adopted as his own, Roger Stanley Nollsch and David Nollsch. Both Roger and David pre-deceased Roy. He is survived only by Michael Daniel Nollsch from his first family, Rosalind having passed away prior to Roy also.

Roy went on to marry another woman named Mona. They also had children together.

His official obituary as written by his second family:

Roy was born on January 27, 1926, in Wolsey, South Dakota. He passed away peacefully on May 30, 2012, at the age of 86.
He grew up on a farm in South Dakota in a family of four brothers and four sisters. Roy left the farm in 1943 to join the Marine Corps at age 17, and later enlisted in the Air Force in 1948. He was stationed in the South Pacific until WW2 ended, after which he was stationed alternately in Japan and in California. Roy married Shizue "Mona" Yoshimura in 1957. They settled in Rancho Cordova, California, when he was transferred to Mather Air Force Base. Roy worked in the motor pool until he retired from the Air Force in 1965. He worked as a classification specialist at the Mather civilian personnel office after his military career until he retired permanently in 1981.
Roy had many interesting hobbies. He enjoyed coin and stamp collecting, working with stained glass, gardening and reading science fiction. Roy developed an interest in genealogy during his retirement, and researched his ancestors back to the fifteenth century. He was actively involved in the Sacramento German Genealogy Society, VFW Post 10125, and served as treasurer of the Kirkwood Place homeowner's association for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mona, sons Mark (Darolyn), Karl (Sharon) and Steve, grandsons Drew, Derek, Jake and Desmond, and his siblings Everett, Genny, Phyllis, and Carol. Nothing was more important to Roy than his family. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. Burial to follow at 12:00 noon with full Air Force Military Honors.
