Col. U.S. Army Veteran, World War One, Illinois National Guard-Colonel Hadley died at his residence in Glencoe, Illinois on 2-17-1953.

He is the son of Mr. James Marshall & Mrs. Margaret {Widenham} Hadley of Peoria, Illinois, and he attended Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, Illinois, and Northwestern at Evanston, Illinois, and leaves three sons, James, Edwin Jr., and Raymond Hadley.

Col. Hadley was the author of six books, and the author of two Bios, President Warren G. Harding, and Gov. Frank Lowden of Illinois.

Awards: WWI Victory Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Legion of Merit.
