Lois Irene Burgess, 73, Logansport, died at 1:47 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.
Born March 22, 1939, in Logansport, she was the daughter of George A. Friskey and Lola L. Ault. Lois was married to John R. Burgess, who preceded in death March 3, 1999. Lois was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of people.
Surviving are sons, Bob Burgess, David Burgess and Michael Burgess, all of Logansport; daughter, Gail Reynolds, Logansport; stepdaughter, Tara Gunter, Logansport; sisters, Betty Preston, Redington Beach, Fla., and Dee Coppernoll, Logansport; brother, Bill Friskey and wife, Betty, Logansport; and grandchildren, Christy, Josh, Savannah, Whitney, Dana, Bradi, Quade, Josie, William, Troy and Korine.
She was preceded in death by one son, John "Booner" Burgess Jr.; and one sister, Joyce Elliott.
Combined services for Lois Irene Burgess and her mother, Lola L. Friskey, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home. The Rev. William Art Maloney and Pastor Horace Smith will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
