Vernon Charles Mauck, age 84 of Front Royal, Virginia passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge, Virginia.
Mr. Mauck was born December 15, 1927 in Gering, Nebraska, son of the late Elbert B. and Zella E. (Carpenter) Mauck. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hiroko Mauck.
Survivors include eight children, James V. Mauck and wife Rita, Robert E. Mauck and wife Heidi, Dayle L. Mauck and wife Tana, Charles E. Mauck, Sharon K. Hughes and husband Jeffrey, David R. Mauck and wife Dixie, Gail T. Earhart and husband Dale and Michael J. Mauck and wife Dixie Lee; one brother, Kenneth Wimer; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where a memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday with Pastor Burroughs officiating. Interment Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington.
