EX-JUDGE HEPBURN DEAD
Was appointed by Governor Porter in 1839, at the Age of 33 years.
CARLISLE, Nov. 16. -- Samuel Hepburn, LL. D., ex-Judge of the Ninth Judicial District, died last night, aged 90 years.
He was appointed judge of Cumberland, Juniata and Perry counties by Governor Porter in 1839, being then only 33 years old, and the youngest judge in Pennsylvania.
