Technical Sergeant Charles Bebus was living in Minneapolis, MN when he entered the service and was a member of the 325th Bomber Squadron stationed on Guam.

On December 21, 1972, he was a gunner on a Boeing Stratofortress Bomber (B-52G) on a bombing mission over North Vietnam. The bomber was hit by a surface to air missile.

His remains were recovered on December 15, 1988 and identified on April 18, 1989.

His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
