Many researchers have indicated that Elizabeth Ann (Russell) Lee, the widow of Moses Lee, died in 1841 but this is improbable since she appears with her three daughters in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 U.S. Census for the County of Talladega, Alabama near the community of Childersburg. She also is listed in the Agricultural Census’ for the same years and have appeared in close proximity to her brothers William and James C. Russell on all six censuses. It is believed that in good faith someone entered the 1841 date on their tree in Ancestry and the error has been proliferated many times by those copying from that tree to their own. [John Russell]
