Landscape architect and nursery operator. Born in Neubeckum, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, the son of Hermann Wienhues and Alwine Gertud Vrochte. Married Theodora Mechtild Dickmann of Kirchellen on October 12, 1940 in Neubeckum. Trained in landscaping, he was a "Diplom Gärtner" and operated farms in what is now Poland from 1941 through the end of WWII. After the war, he returned to the Ruhr area where he was born and obtained contracts in landscaping and also opened a nursery focused on flowers. He was survived by siblings, his wife and daughters Antje, Dorothea, Beate and Renate and by his son, Jens. Died as a result of injuries received in a tumble down stairs on December 25, 1960.
