Services for Marie Allison were held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:30 am at Sayre Church of Christ officiated by Gary Rollins. Burial was at Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Marie Allison was born November 2, 1928 in Bulo, Oklahoma to Annie and Albert Prater. She passed away July 6, 2012 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Marie grew up and attended school in Bulo and New Liberty. After graduation, she attended Wright's Business College in Oklahoma City. She was married to Thomas John Allison at Pampa, Texas on January 21, 1948. After their marriage, Marie and T.J. made their home in the New Liberty and Sayre communities. Throughout Marie's life she worked alongside her husband in the oil and gas business and the appliance store. Marie had a genuine love for people and was willing to give to anyone in need. In her later years she enjoyed attending sporting events, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Marie was also a member of Sayre Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years, T.J.; three sisters, Joyce Triplett, Geraldine Hall and Lucille Rankin.
She is survived by her son, Scott Allison, Sayre; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Sawyer and husband, Tom, Sayre; two grandchildren, Stacy Heath and husband, Dale, Ft. Worth, TX; Shawn Sawyer and wife, Shannon, Sayre; four great-grandchildren, Landon Sawyer, Logan Sawyer, Alison Heath, and Dalon Heath, and a host of other relatives and friends.
