Robert T. Barnes, 67, of 213 Liberty Street, Valders, died Wednesday afternoon, May 23,at his residence.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders and 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. John Conrad will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barnes was born January 18, 1917 at St. Paul, Minnesota, son of the late John and Harriett Finch Barnes. Mr. Barnes attended St. Isadore School in Osman and Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Mr. Barnes was employed by Mike Wallander Inc., retiring in 1981. He married the former Lila Vetter on September 6, 1952 at Osman. Mr. Barnes was a member of Valders American Legion Post.
Survivors include a son, James of Valders; a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Gary Dworak of Valders; a brother, Gerald Barnes of Newton; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Lenora) McCulley of Reedsville; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survived. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and a brother. Friends may call at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday evening. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.

Relatives here received a message announcing the birth of a baby boy to Mr. and Mrs. John Barnes of Minneapolis. Both were former residents of this place. Mrs. Barnes, before her marriage, was Miss Hattie Finch.
