Mrs Catherine Brandt (sic) aged 75 died at the home of her son Joseph in the town of Cato Friday afternoon. Mrs Brandt headed a large family of 4 generations. She was buried at Clark Mills Monday morning following a requiem mass said by Rev FX Kheil at St Mary's church at 9:30 o'clock. Mrs Brandt nee Staudinger was born in Bavaria 6 July 1857 and came to this country with her family as a girl on the Deutschland arriving in New York on 21 August 1869.
Her wedding to Wolfgang Brandl took place on 8 October 1877. She was a widow for several years. Survivors included 3 sons: Joseph, Charles, George all of the town of Cato; 2 daughters: Sophia/Mrs John Riederer+Theresa/Mrs George Loritz both of Manitowoc; brother George Staudinger of Cato; 2 sisters in Marathon county: Teresa Weisenberger+ Mary Rader; 41 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
