Cyril R. Burkhardt, Jr., age 59 of 3525 Sunset Lane, Brillion (Long Lake) died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, 2001, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Private family funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2001 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. John Conrad and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Cyril was born May 5, 1942, in Sheboygan County, son of Evelyn Schrieber Burkhardt and the late Cyril Burkhardt Sr. Cyril graduated from Kiel High School. On Jan. 19, 1973 he married the former Eileen E. Meyer Haas at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. They lived for many years in Valders moving to Brillion in 1998. Cyril was employed as a journeyman tool and die maker at Mirro Foley Manufacturing in Chilton.
Survivors include his wife: Eileen Burkhart, Brillion; two daughters and one son-in-law: Barbara A. Haas, Brillion and Beverly and Leander Schad, Kiel; two grandchildren: Corbin and Amanda Schad; his mother, Evelyn Burkhardt, Kiel, one brother and sister-in-law: Mike and Jean Burkhardt, Elkhart Lake and one nephew, Peter Burkhardt. Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
