Lawrence G. (Kelly) Brennan, age 82, formerly of 427 Crystal Dr. Valders, died Sunday, November 28, 1999 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 1999, at St. Marys Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. John Conrad, with burial at St. Marys Church Cemetery. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Thompson-Burkard Post #28, Valders.
He was born December 9, 1916 in Cato, Wis., son of the late William and Mary Pankratz Brennan. Kelly was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force Reserves. Kelly began his employment with Brennan-Rolland Excavating for many years then continued his employment as a salesman for Wallander Construction Company where he retired. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, the American Legion Post #28 of Valders for over 50 years and the Knights of Columbus of Manitowoc.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene (Jim) and Isabel Brennan, Cato; a half sister, Beatrice McCulley, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Rolland, Melba Knutson and her husband, Herb, all of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Rolland; one infant brother, William, two step brothers, Clem and Charles Rolland; one step sister, Florence Burke.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clarks Mills from 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center and especially Connie for the care they extended to Kelly.
