Florence E. Conway, age 89, formerly of Milwaukee, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, died Tuesday morning, March 13, 2001, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clarks Mills.
The former Florence Dagelen, was born May 4, 1911, at Milwaukee, daughter of the late Frank and Alma Dentinger Dagelen. Florence was a graduate of Milwaukee Messemer High School and also was a graduate of Milwaukee Business College. Florence was married to Riley G. Conway on November 29, 1933 at Milwaukee. The couple lived their entire life in Milwaukee and Riley preceded her in death in June of 1991. Florence moved to Manitowoc in 1991. In the past she was a Girl Scout Leader, she loved square dancing, camping, walking, singing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Jerome)Vetting, Manitowoc, Kathleen (Jerome) Talaga, Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren, Colleen (Bruce) Riesterer, Reedsville, William A. Niehausen, Portage, Wis., Christy (Brian) Schmitz, New Holstein, Theresa ( Joseph) Bowling, Louisville, Ky., Tim (Junita) Talaga, Louisville, Ky., Gloria *John )Berry, Louisville, Ky.; nine great grandchildren, Angela, Emma Lee, Jacob, Kathryn and Neal Riesterer; Alex, Meghan, and Zachary Schmitz, Darcy Dunn Niehausen; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Richard (Dorothy) Dagelen, West Allis, Wis., Marie Dagelen, Brookfield; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Fay Metz, West Bend, Lucille (Ken) Wuerl, Wauwatosa, Jeanette Peters, Mequon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Neal Niehausen in April, 1983; two brothers and one sister. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
