MARION -- James Robert "Robbie" Thompson, 54, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at his home in Marion.
A graveside memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, with the Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow. A time of gathering will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the cemetery. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the graveside.

Marion- James Robert "Robbie" Thompson, 54, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at his home in Marion.
Robbie was born on September 29, 1957 in Gary, IN to Leland and Geneva (Loveless) Thompson.
He worked as a lineman in the coal mines and formerly worked as an accountant.
He was baptist and enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, bowling and shooting pool with friends.
Survivors include-
Son- Lethan Thompson of Carbondale
Daughter- Alexis Nicole Melville and husband Steven of West Frankfort
Son- David Thompson of Benton
Eight Grandchildren
Brother- Tom and Tosha Bonds of Marion
four nieces and one nephew
He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters- Cheryl Thompson and Audrey Reed.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Inurnment will follow. A time of gathering will be from 10:00am until time of service at the cemetery. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the graveside.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home/ 800 N. Market/ Marion, IL 62959.
