Marie Schroeder, age 78, of 214 S. Parkway Drive, Apt. 1, Brillion, formerly of Valders, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 1996, at her daughter’s home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 1996, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion. Rev. William O’Brien will officiate with burial in the St. Mary Cemetery, Clark Mills.
She was born November 4, 1918, in Green Bay, daughter of the late John and Mary Falk Vollmer. She married Elroy Schroeder on June 22, 1940, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hobert. She worked for the Lakeland Egg Co-Op in Valders and was a homemaker for many years. Marie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion. She loved to dance and pay cards.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Schroeder, Manitowoc, Betty and Jim Schuh, Brillion; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Brenda and Rick Bunnell, Chilton, with their two daughters, Amanda and Amber, Jim and Becky Schuh, Appleton, with their two sons, Ryan and Tanner, Richard Schuh, Cuba City, Terry Schuh, Brillion; one sister-in-law, Florence Vollmer, Hilbert; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and LaVerne Schroeder, Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy on March 19, 1983; four brothers, Walter, William, Sylvester and Eddie Vollmer.
Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral home in Brillion from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 1996, and on Monday from 7:45 a.m. until 10 a.m. There will be a vigil service at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m.
Marie will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
