Alphena Marie Dubay, 87, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester with her family by her side.

Born in Siegas, New Brunswick, on July 25, 1923, she was the daughter of Louis and Azilda Cyr and was a resident of Portsmouth for more than 50 years.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, now Corpus Christi Parish.

Survivors include her husband Joel S. Dubay, daughters Priscilla Bowker of Berwick, Maine, Nancy Bergeron and husband Armand of Manchester, Lisa Cummings and husband David of Somersworth; grandchildren Bernie Taylor Jr., Jamey Bowker, Christopher Taylor, Jennifer Bean, Lauren Bowker, and Ryan Cummings; great grandchildren Breanne, Ethan, Elise, Jonathan, Bryson, Benjamin, and Maya, sisters Laurena Levesque, Theresa Lariviere, Mai-Jeanne Burgess, Diane Gagnon, and Emilienne Dionne, brothers Roger and Philippe Cyr, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant son; a grandson, Randy Cummings; and brothers Gerard, Wilfred and Adrian Cyr.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 26, from 4-7pm at the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 98 Summer St., Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Portsmouth.
