Royalty. She was the Queen of Denmark, as well as the first and only Queen of Iceland. She was born in Germany to Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Grand Duchess Anastasia of Russia. In 1898, she married Prince Christian of Denmark, later King Christian X. She gave birth to two sons, King Frederick IX and Hereditary Prince Knud.
