Ira Charles Eisenbraun
NORTH LIMA -- Ira Charles Eisenbraun, 93, passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, in his home. Ira was born in Struthers on Feb. 26, 1917, to the late Ira Stephen and Barbara Pabst Eisenbraun. He graduated from Struthers High School and attended Youngstown Business College. He retired after more than 35 years of service at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube. Ira had a love of and a talent for painting with oils and water colors. He was a member of the Aut Mori Grotto and the Wick Lodge No. 481 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Sharlotte Burrows Eisenbraun, his sisters, Margaret and Edna; a brother, John "Jack;" and a grandson, Eric Shirilla. Surviving are daughters Joan (James) Novak of Blowing Rock, N.C., and Bonnie (John) Shirilla of Davidson, N.C.; son Charles (Charlene) Eisenbraun, with whom he made his home; grandchildren Laureen (Cary) Novak Sullivan, Brian Shirilla, Brandie (John) Shirilla Smrek and Nicole Novak, and two great-grandsons, Carson and Connor Sullivan. Ira will be missed by family and friends who loved him as well as by his faithful canine companions, Charlie, Blue and Danny Boy. Family and friends will be received today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, where a Masonic service will follow at 8 p.m. Private interment will take place on Monday at Lake Park Ceneteryt, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mahoning County Animal Shelter.
