Grace L. Junk, age 73, of Manitowoc, formerly of Clarks Mills, passed away, Tuesday morning, November 1, 1994, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday November 3, 1994, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Father John Conrad and Father Tom Wojciechowski will officiate with burial to be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
She was born March 27, 1921 in Mishicot, daughter of the late Edward and Emma Shedivy Chaloupka. She attended Mishicot area schools. She farmed with her husband in the town of Branch, then operating Junk’s Bar in Clarks Mills, where she served her famous fish lunches for many years. She was later employed at St. Mary’s home, Manitowoc. She married George Junk, August 30, 1941.
Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law; Jerry and Camile, Chelsa, Mass., Gordon and Jacque, Bethlehem, Pa., James (J.J.) Clarks Mills, Guy and Marie, Glendale, Arizona, George and Kim, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law, Georgia (Bill) Ackley, Pembine, Wis., Sr. Marie Jeanne with the Felician Order, Chicago, three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Norbert and Evy Chaloupka, Manitowoc, Arnold and Sally Chaloupka, Green Bay, Helen Chaloupka, Rockwood, Wilma Chaloupka, South Carolina; a special friend, Ruth Kluczinski, Manitowoc. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, September 3, 1973, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at St. Mary’s Church, Clarks Mills, Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial s would be appreciated.
