He attended Rosemead High School in Rosemead, CA and joined the U.S. Air Force after graduation. He was stationed for a time at March AFB in Riverside, CA and was transferred to Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT. He served as a flight mechanic. He married Margaret D. Adams in 1963. He was killed in an automobile accident in Walnut, CA five years later.

"Tire Blows, Cars Collide Killing Two".
A tire blowout triggered a head-on collision in Walnut Sunday which claimed the lives of a Valley resident. Killed was Ronald G. Hadley, 25, 20700 San Jose Hills Rd., Walnut. CHP officer R. G. Coulter said a tire on Hadley's vehicle apparently blew out and the car spun in the street, crashing into the oncoming car.
