Sara Hudson, 8, of Willoughby, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 5, 2004.
Sara was a loving, brave little girl who touched many lives - if not personally then through a million hopeful thoughts and daily prayers.
Sara's family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital Oncology staff who cared for Sara this past year and made her journey as easy as it could be. They also want to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve and The Leprechaun Foundation who helped make Sara's last wish come true.
Survivors are her parents, Kim and Scott Hudson of Willoughby; sister, Kaley Hudson; maternal grandparents, Frank and Cheryl Garren of Mentor; paternal grandfather, C. David Hudson of Cincinnati; aunts and uncles, Marcie Garren, David (Gail) Hudson, Heather (fiancé Matt Elwood) Hudson and Ross (Carrie) Hudson; and cousins, Nate, Angel, William, Maddie, Cole and Bren. Sara is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Jerri Hudson.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. (Please meet at the church.) The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
