Camilla Mannign married Judge Jacokes on October 15, 1867. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
"The residence of Judge Jacokes is situated in one of the best neighborhoods of the city and is built of brick with neat and attractive surroundings. It was until quite recently presided over by a true-hearted wife, who joined her fate with his, October 15, 1867. Mrs. Jacokes was known in her maidenhood as Miss Camilla Manning and wras a daughter of the late Randolph Manning, Associate Judge of the Supreme Court of Michigan. She was well and favorably known and had a large circle of friends. She was a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and when she entered the valley of the shadow of death November 22, 1890, she was supported by the rod and staff that are promised to all Christians."
