Survivors include his wife, Oleta; one son, Aaron S. Whitener V of Arlington; three daughters, Mrs. Milton Herber of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Jon Bear of Wichita Falls and Mrs. James Pope of Weatherford; two brothers, W.A. Whitener of Corpus Christi and Oliver Whitener of Burton; three sisters, Mrs. James Vick of Houston, Mrs. B.C. Gatewood of Burton, Mrs. Henry C. Smith of Guntersville, Ala.; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was buried on June 5 in the Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
