The son of J. Heinrich Siemon and A. Wilhelmina Beckmann Siemon,John Frederick Siemon was born August 14, 1858 in Camp Springs, Campbell County, Kentucky. One of six children, he married Christina Schnabel Siemon in 1883, and they had two children, Henry J. Siemon and Barbara Simon Amberger. During his generation and his children's, some family members changed the spelling of their surname from "Siemon" to "Simon." He died at age 66 on October 3, 1924 in Campbell County and is buried near his wife at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Camp Springs.
