He was born on June 2, 1889, in Cumberland County, a son of the late William Frederick and Louise Rhoades Donnelly. He lived most of his life at Boiling Springs. He had been a railway express messenger for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1956.
Mr. Donnelly was a member of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, the Cumberland Star Lodge No. 197, R. and A.M. and of the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 South Hanover Street, with the Rev. Dr. Gerald D. Kauffman, pastor of the Grace EUB Church officiating. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday evening at the funeral home where a Masonic service in charge of Cumberland Star Lodge will be held at 8 p.m.
