Died of Bright's disease in Littleton, NC at the age of 26 years. Son of the late Major General Henry W. Halleck. Funeral from residence of his mother, No. 261 5th Av, NYC.

Henry "Harry" Wager Halleck, Jr. was the only child of Major General Henry Wager and Elizabeth Hamilton Halleck. A year following his father's death in 1872, Harry went on a trip to Europe with his mother. Eventually his mother married General George W. Cullum. Harry was trained as a lawyer and was living with his mother and step-father at their Newport, Rhode Island home in 1880. Harry never married, and apparently suffered with chronic inflammation of the kidneys [Bright's disease], which eventually took his life.
